About the Artist
“I have found nothing more captivating, complex, or deeply alluring than the human face. It tells the story of both our present moment, and our greater story, both collective and individual. It is ecstatic, terrifying, confusing, rich with the history of peoples, and the source of spirit we need to witness in order to form what psychologists call, secure attachment. Faces tell us who we are, what we can do and become. They can also inflict terror, humiliation, and unconditional love. Each line, each tone, each angle, is and can only ever be you. It is this mystery that moves me to paint face after face.”
